This article covers available options for billing frequency and how to configure them. By default, the frequency option for your product's billing schedule is set to monthly. The exact re-bill date when subscribers are renewed each month is based on the date you select.

Are there any other billing frequencies?

Yes! We have an Advanced Rebilling app designed for this purpose that Cratejoy Support can install for you in your merchant portal.

If you want to offer more than one rebilling option–such as weekly and biweekly–then you will have to create two separate products. For example one product for weekly and one product for biweekly.

It unlocks the following billing options on your product setup page:

Weekly

Bills subscribers every week which means shipments go out every week from when the subscriber signs up.

Biweekly

Bills subscribers every two weeks which means shipments go out every other week from when the subscriber signs up.

Bimonthly

Bills subscribers every two months which means shipments go out every other month from when the subscriber signs up.

Ad-hoc

Bills subscribers every month on the anniversary of their sign-up date. The subscriber signs up on the 13th of the month, then every month they will renew on the 13th.

The subscriber signs up on the last day of the month, then they will renew on the last day of the month whether it be the 30th or 31st.

The exception of this is February 28th. Once a subscriber renews on February 28th, they will continue to renew on the 28th of every month.

Quarterly

Bills subscribers every three months from when the subscriber signs up.

This is not designed for seasonal subscriptions, or subscriptions only delivered to subscribers a set four times a year. Shipments are delivered by the merchant monthly and received by subscribers quarterly, depending on when they sign up.

For example, Subscriber A signs up on January 9th. Subscriber A will then receive a box once a quarter based on their signup date of January 9th the first quarter would end April 9th. Then their second quarter would end on July 9th.

Subscriber A will receive shipments: January, April, and July.

However, Subscriber B signs up on May 11th. Their first quarter would end August 11th. Their second quarter would end November 11th.

Subscriber B will receive shipments: May, August, and November

Therefore, you, the merchant, would be shipping out these boxes in January, April, July, May, August, and November.

If these advanced rebilling options sound like it will work for your business, please submit a ticket to have it added to your merchant portal.
