Welcome to your new shipments page!

In this article, we'll complete a short walkthrough of this page to help get you familiar with how to use it. First, let's take a look at the filters:

Filters

These filters help you drill down to see only specific shipments.

  • The "Shipment Status" filter lets you choose a shipment status to filter on.
  • The "What to Ship" filter lets you know what you need to ship RIGHT NOW and what you want to ship next month.
    • "Current Batch" includes the items that are currently ready to be shipped to customers. The Current Batch start date corresponds to the start date of, not your last cutoff window, but the cutoff before that. The end date of the Current Batch corresponds to the start date of your last cutoff window. Example: I have a product (called "Coffee Filters") that I ship monthly. It rebills on the last day of every month. It also has a 10-day cutoff window (which is the default for a product). If it is currently June 18th, that means my Current Batch will have a start date of April 20th and an end date of May 21st. This is because my April cutoff window starts on the 20th, and my May cutoff window starts on the 21st.
    • The "Next Batch" filter functions like the "Current Batch," except the start and end dates are moved up a batch. That means that, in my previous scenario, the "Next Batch" start date corresponds to the start of my previous cutoff window (May 21st), and the end date corresponds to the start of my next cutoff window (June 20th).

So, if you want to see all shipments in the current batch that you haven't shipped yet, you can select "Unshipped" from the status filter and "Current Batch" from the "What to Ship" filter, and you'll have a list of what needs to be sent out.

For more information on what to ship and the Current Batch, check out this helpful article on the subject.

If you want to look up previous shipments from date-x to date-y, you will want to apply your desired filters first, such as "unshipped" and "product" then, at the end of your URL, add /date_filter=year-month-day:year-month-day then press enter.

If you have multiple products that are both on the same cycle, you can use the product filter to filter on only one of those products.

Shipments

Each shipment entry in the list contains lots of information about the product, the subscription, and the customer that is tied to the shipment.

The information on the left tells you about the Product: the name and the product SKU.

In addition to this product info, if this shipment was generated as a part of a subscription order with prepaid terms, you'll see a number that tells you what number the shipment is in the sequence.

On the right side of this area, we list the customer, order, and subscription info. In addition, we also show the order date of the shipment.

For shipments that are connected to a subscription with prepaid terms, the order date on the shipment is adjusted to reflect the cycle of the subscription product.

For example, if a customer places an order for a 3-month prepaid subscription on May 24th, 2014, the first shipment generated will have an order date of May 24th, 2014. The second shipment generated will have an adjusted order date of June 24th, 2014, and the final shipment generated will have an adjusted order date of July 24th.

On the other side of the shipment, you can see the shipment status and shipping address. You can also choose to mark the shipment as shipped or print a label for your shipment.

For more information on how to print a label, check out our help article on the subject.
