When do I ship?
Most subscription businesses rebill on the 1st of the month, with a 10 day cutoff window. The cutoff day is when your shipments are finalized for the month. That's why we recommend you ship right after your cutoff window begins. It's the first day you can know exactly what you need to ship.
What do I ship?
From your shipments page, you can use the "Current Batch" filter to see exactly what you need to ship this month.
Note that the "Current Batch" filter shows you all shipments that fall in that batch (regardless of shipment status), so if you want to see what you have left to ship, make sure to apply a status filter of "Unshipped" too!
You can also download a spreadsheet of what you need to ship this month from the Export menu.
Your "Current" filter will also show you any unshipped one-time purchases, which should generally be shipped as orders come in.
Most subscription businesses ship this way.
Marty runs a potato of the month club. On March 22nd, his rebill cutoff window begins, finalizing his March batch. His current filter will show all the shipments that were ordered between February 21st (the first day of the previous month's rebill window) and March 21st (the last day his customers can order a March shipment). As he marks each box shipped, his current filter will show only the remaining March boxes he needs to ship.
What about prepaid shipments?
Marty also offers a 3-month prepay, so his customers can purchase their next 3 months up-front. When Susan, a new subscriber, signs up for a 3 month prepayment on March 21st, Cratejoy cuts her first shipment into Marty's March batch. Her second shipment won't appear in the "current" filter until April 23rd (after Marty's April batch is finalized). Similarly, Susan's third shipment will be scheduled into Marty's May batch, which Marty can ship out on May 22nd.
