When you list on the Marketplace we pay your customer acquisition costs up front and then you pay us back over time. We have costs with acquiring customers just like you or any other marketer does but we also have a lot more resources and experience doing it. We are able to find customers for you and you don't have to front any expense, you can use money you otherwise would spend on marketing for other things - or market yourself as well and get even more subscribers when we are both working to grow your business.
We have costs to acquire subscribers and we get paid back over time. This means we actually lose money if a subscriber cancels before they have paid back their cost of acquisition to us. Those early cancellations result in losses to us. Those losses are offset by the subscribers which stay for a long time. This is how we are able to front the cost of customer acquisition.
We pay up front to acquire customers and get repaid over time and you have more cash in your bank account to be used however you see fit.
